Online Volunteer Orientation Feb. 22!

By Merritt Frey, Executive Director

Always thought you’d like to volunteer with Mali Rising but weren’t sure how to do it? Join us online for a 30-minute orientation to the current openings for volunteers! Most of our volunteer opportunities are virtual and several are good for groups.

Example ways to help include:

  • Writing short, fun notes of encouragement to our students to let our students know someone is rooting for them

  • Reading short books or stories on camera to help our students improve their English skills

  • Making beaded friendship bracelets with inspirational messages to help students get through year-end exams

  • Helping us spread the word to others by helping us out on social media

  • And more.

This online orientation is Thrusday, February 22 at 7:30 eastern/6:30 central/5:30 mountain/4:30 pacific.

The 30-minute Zoom call will give you a chance to learn a little about the role volunteers play at Mali Rising (hint: it is a huge role!) and to explore 7 ways you could get involved today. Future volunteer sessions will dig deeper on various options, but this is a great way to find out if there is a volunteer role that inspires you!
